Estia Health is a two-level aged care facility with basement carpark located in Bexley, aimed at providing a luxury residence that excels in every aspect of care, comfort and ambience.
A complete range of amenities include a fully equipped hair and nail salon for the residents, a walk-in library as well as a theatre room, lounge and dining areas.
In keeping with the modern amenities, this building has the latest features and technologies that were developed in conjunction with the design and interface with various key systems. This included the public-address system using the building occupant warning system.
As part of the design brief, the interfacing of the mechanical ventilation system along with the nurse call system, which was also supplemented with remote displays units (1728AU) in all fire compartments to help staff with any fire alarm situations. This interface included the sprinkler, hydrant systems and fire pumps which provide relevant information on the fire panel display for both the Fire Brigade and maintenance staff.
Brooks worked hand in hand with the design team to ensure that these systems could work together and meet the relevant requirements but importantly deliver early warning in the event of a fire and enable residents and staff to evacuate. This provides the facility, staff and residents the ultimate in peace of mind.
