Firetracker FTG319 Introduction Testing & Maintenance

Introductory training for Brooks FireTracker FTG319 Addressable Panels. Primarily suited for Testers and Service Technicians, but Installers will also find this most useful as the course provides an understanding of Panel Functionality, Fault Finding, and Monthly/Annual Testing.

COURSE OVERVIEW:

FTG319 Basic Operation, Testing & Maintenance is for those new to the Brooks FireTracker Addressable Panels, or for those who are regularly performing the required Standards Maintenance and/or Defect and Alarm Response. All Installers, Testers, and Service Technicians will find this most useful as the course covers all aspects of Panel Functionality and Basic Fault-Finding.

TRAINING DURATION: 2.5 Hours

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

On completion of the training, the trainee will be proficient in:

  • Identification of the FTG319
  • Clarification of the path to Australian Standards
  • Operation of the FTG319 controls and keypad
  • Demonstration of detector settings and their use in minimising false alarms
  • Utilisation of the access levels and navigation of all menus
  • Fulfilling the maintenance requirements of the Standards
  • Reading and comprehending the FTG319 fault messages

PREREQUISITES:

  • Understanding of fire systems

INSTRUCTIONAL METHODS:

The course is normally delivered face to face as a group with instructional presentation, practical demonstration and interaction. While practical interaction is important, with possible disruptions to social gatherings as an interim solution we can offer the option to complete the training via online learning.

 

 

Firetracker FTG319 Introduction, Design & Installation

Introductory training for Brooks FireTracker FTG319 Addressable Fire Indicator Panels. Primarily suited for Installers & Service Technicians new to the Brooks range of Addressable Fire Indicator Panels and associated equipment or for those who want to broaden their knowledge and capacity in working with the system.

 

COURSE OVERVIEW:

FTG319 Introduction, Design & Installation course guides participants through the FTG319 Panel Design, Front Panel Controls, Hardware Configurations and compatible field devices.  The session provides a sound base prior to progressing to the panel programming modules.

 

TRAINING DURATION:

  • 2 - 2.5 Hours 

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

On completion of the training, the trainee will be proficient in:

  • Identification of the FTG319
  • Understanding FTG3 Components
  • Understanding FTG3 Controls
  • Identification and installation of expansion boards
  • Identification and Installation guidelines of Panasonic Addressable Devices

PREREQUISITES:

  • Understanding of fire systems
  • Basic computer literacy

INSTRUCTIONAL METHODS:

The course is normally delivered face to face as a group with instructional presentation, practical demonstration and interaction. While practical interaction is important, with possible disruptions to social gatherings as an interim solution we can offer the option to complete the training via online learning.

 

This training course is suited for Installers & Service Technicians already possessing a broad knowledge
of the Brooks range of Addressable Fire Indicator Panels and associated equipment who wish to
obtain the skills necessary to confidently program and commission either modifications to an
existing system or generate a new system from the scratch.

COURSE OVERVIEW:

FTG319 Programming & Commissioning course guides participants through the EBLWin PC
program used to create and download the Site-Specific Data (SSD), upgrade panel Firmware and
utilise the features such as Loop Check and Auto Generate COM Loop to aid with commissioning
and maintenance.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

On completion of the training, the trainee will be proficient in understanding the concepts for:

• Understanding EBLWin Software Principles and Installation
• Utilising EBLWin to create and implement custom SSD file
• Utilising EBLWin for Loop Diagnostics and Fault Finding
• Understanding Firmware Versions
• Utilising EBLWin for Firmware Upgrades

PREREQUISITES:

Course participants are required to have their own programming Laptop, FDCIE Communication
Cable (USB 2.0 Type A-B), and USB Programming Dongle (5054). With suitable notice both the
Communication Cable and Dongle can be purchased from Brooks and made available on day of
course.

INSTRUCTIONAL METHODS:

This course is delivered in a group environment, Powerpoint presentation and practical demonstration. Students will have access to a network panel and field devices during the practical exercises. However you must bring your own Laptop, FDCIE Communication Cable (USB 2.0 Type A-B), and USB Programming Dongle (5054)
