Nestled along the Parramatta River at 38 South Street, Rydalmere lies a hidden gem. ‘Truganini,’ likely named after the Tasmanian Aboriginal woman Trugernanner was built on Manning’s Farm.
It was one of several homes, including ‘Yaralla’ and ‘Newington,’ constructed along the riverbank in the 1800s by wealthy landowners who sought to capitalise on the scenic views, recreational opportunities, and the prestige of owning a riverside estate.
More recently, the area was designated for industrial subdivision. Simple and clear user interface: The customer required an intuitive user interface that significantly simplifies the system operations. The CIE provides users with all the necessary information and controls at a glance via the individually well-grouped indicators and momentary push-button switches.

The building structure consists of several distinct yet interconnected buildings. The oldest section is made of picked golden sandstone. The part of the house that faces the river features a simple but elegant symmetrical façade and was constructed in the latter half of the nineteenth century.
The entrance door is flanked by sidelights and topped with a transom. A bellcast iron verandah, separate from the main roof, is supported by cast iron columns and includes a decorative cast iron frieze. The double-hung windows are adorned with projecting sandstone ledges.
